Employers

The ex-wife gave the police a list of names of associates and employers Jake Bannon knew or worked with before his disappearance.

Authories were unable to track down the tuna skipper that Jake Bannon worked on.

They were able to find a previous employer in the construction business. This employer described Bannon as "wholly unreliable" in terms of showing up at the job, but a "hard worker" if he did show up.  Bannon had issues with authority and preferred being given duties that required little or no supervision.

The employer stated that he had seen Jake Bannon on the job site about two months after quitting and about a month before his disappearance.  He seemed to be flashing quite a bit of money around and was trying to get a couple of his old cronies from the job to join him on what the employer described as "some sort of fishing expedition."  It sounded like another get rich quick scheme and the men had declined.
